Lightweight & High Rigidity

As you can see below, aluminum honeycomb panel weighs approx. 1/10 of steel sheet and 1/5 of aluminum sheet with equal rigidity.

Flatness

Flatness of aluminum honeycomb panel is on the level of 0.1mm per square meter. This is the reason why aluminum honeycomb panels have been used in various applications which require flatness, such as heliostat, vacuum chuck etc.

Machinability

We can machine aluminum honeycomb panel into any shape you desire in the same way as conventional metal materials.

Applications

Construction of aluminum honeycomb panel

Aluminum honeycomb panel consists of two facing plates separated by and bonded to a aluminum honeycomb core. Facing plates need not to be aluminum alloy. You can choose any materials for facing plates as long as they can be bonded to aluminum honeycomb core With adhesive. The aluminum honeycomb core consists of aluminum foils in the form of Hexagonal cells. There are four types of cell size, 1/4inch, 3/8inch, 1/2inch, 3/4inch.
